Shanda Anderson, Licensed professional counselor in Austin, TX. Nationwide speaker and biblical counseling trainer.

About Shanda

Shanda Anderson, LPC-S, has devoted her life and career to one deep conviction: that people are worth knowing, and that healing is possible — even in the hardest places.

After earning her Master of Education in Counseling from the University of North Texas in 2004, Shanda began her clinical work with some of the most vulnerable populations — providing group, family, and individual counseling at the Juvenile Detention Center in Denton County. That experience shaped her belief that no one is beyond reach. She went on to spend nine years at Denton Bible Church, where she built a counseling ministry grounded in Scripture while specializing in the unique challenges facing college students and young adults.

Licensed since June 2006, Shanda brings nearly two decades of clinical experience to her work. She is trained in biofeedback — a specialized approach that helps those living with chronic pain — and has walked alongside women navigating depression, anxiety, grief, addiction, shame, abuse, relationship wounds, eating disorders, self-injury, and sexual brokenness. She holds the designation of Licensed Professional Counselor-Supervisor (LPC-S) and is a member, speaker, and devotional contributor for the Association of Biblical Counselors.

What drives Shanda isn't a methodology — it's a person. Her greatest hope is to walk with women through their trials and to witness, by the grace of Jesus, lives transformed by growing love, hope, and faith. She believes the counseling room can be a place where you are fully seen, fully known, and met with grace — and she shows up to every session with that conviction.
